The Journal of Chinese Martial Studies has released the inaugural edition of its bi-annual magazine. The first edition, Summer 2009, is currently available as a free download. According to the magazine's web site, the Journal of Chinese Martial Studies is a bi-annual designed periodical for academics who are interested in Chinese Studies who want to broaden their knowledge of Chinese martial arts culture, and also for dedicated martial artists who want to broaden their understanding of the martial arts. About the Written Tradition of Taijiquan
Freya and Martin Boedicker from Willich, Germany, run the Forum for Traditional Wu Tai Chi Chuan and teach Tai Chi in Germany, England, Holland, Poland, Belgium, Spain, and South Africa. They are long-time students of Ma Jiangbao, the son of Wu Yinghua and Ma Yueliang. Martin Boedicker holds a Master's degree in East Asian Science and has taught a seminar on "Visualizing Chinese Thinking Structures" at the University of Witten for six years. Cardiff. Lotus Nei Gong (LNG) Cardiff has launched its new web site. LNG Cardiff teaches Taiji Quan, also called Tai Chi Chuan, and the Internal Arts. LNG announces Yang October workshop
Henton, Somerset. Lotus Nei Gong continues its series of Yang Family short form workshops in Brecon on October 16th - 18th, 2009. Led by LNG senior teacher Paul Mitchell, the weekend course at Brecon's "Bunkhouse" features the Yang Family Short Form as taught within Lotus Nei Gong’s Taiji syllabus. As well as the sequence, Paul will look at eight postures in detail, along with applications and Toui-Shou or ‘Pushing hands’.
